NBI Community science week 2026

We are excited to share that the Nantucket Biodiversity Initiative (NBI) is hosting a week of community science events this year. Our theme “Keeping the Art in Earth” celebrates the intersection between art and science — a space tied together by wonder and curiosity.
From Tuesday October 6th through Friday October 9th, various organizations will host workshops that explore where Nantucket biodiversity meets creativity. A wrap up party will be hosted on the evening of Friday October 9th to provide space for conversations about the importance of community science, the power of art, and the work NBI does to support research on Nantucket.
